Stony Creek Metropark Maternity Photography | Foxworth Family
When I first chatted with Vanessa about her maternity photo shoot, she told me she was looking for a “cottagecore” style. I was honest with her and replied that I had no idea what cottagecore even was! I looked it up, and come to find out, it is a style I’d put between boho with the flowy-ness of the dresses and old school with the wispy sleeves and corset type tops. This glowing mama also told me she loves props and sets, and planned to bring a picnic of some sort to include in some of the photos - I was game for it!
You’ll never guess what these two brought along as a fun, last minute surprise though - a ukulele! It all went together so nicely for Vanessa’s original vision for the session. And hello, good tunes!
Spoiler alert: their babe has now been born and he is SO.DANG.CUTE!

Introducing the ukulele to the session! If anyone plays instruments, I now want you to bring them to your photo shoots to be included! Pretty pleeeeease!
After their session, we designed together their first half of their wall portrait gallery, and they planned to do the other half with newborn and family of three photos!
Vanessa’s dress is from Morning Lavender. If I lived in California where their boutique was located, I’d go in person. They are the cutest shop, with a cafe inside as well. Win, win!
