Francesca's One Year Milk Bath and Pumpkin Pie Smash! | Metro Detroit Child Photography
When my littlest clients, those sweet newborns, are about to turn one and we get to plan that big first birthday photo shoot I’m not sure who is more excited, the parents or me, quite frankly! This is one of those little babes that I had the pleasure of photographing when she was a teeny, tiny five pound newborn. You can see her newborn session here if you’re interested!
Francesca is a Fall baby, so for her one year old photo session, mama wanted to incorporate some autumn vibes to it, but she wanted creamy, neutral tones mostly. With these ideas in mind, we did some one year portraits in the cutest little dress (with pom poms, eat your heart out!), a pumpkin pie smash (who says it has to be a cake smash?!), and an autumn-styled milk bath.
All these tiny details of an almost one year old sweet pea. Just look at those baby toes and long lashes.
I absolutely loved how Francesca was using her foot to help hold up her pumpkin pie! SO CUUUTTTEEE!
And then things went south when her pumpkin pie got flipped over. Uh oh!
… but she had such a quick recovery from it!
And onto the milk bath! Francesca absolutely LOVED her nice warm bath to play and splash in! I mean, just look at her face in some of these photos - it is pure JOY.
We had to get some sweet sibling photos and some of big brother, too. ;)
