Best Maternity Dresses on Amazon for Photoshoots | Detroit Newborn and Maternity Photographer
As a maternity photographer, my heart always goes out to the pregnant mamas trying to figure out where to shop and what to purchase for their maternity photoshoot! Some maternity photographers offer what’s called a Client Closet (myself included!), where we have gorgeous maternity gowns that you can use during your session and you can avoid all of the purchasing and returning of gowns yourself. But this is for those who like to do their own shopping, and I get that, too!
We all know how hard online shopping can be, but lets be honest, that’s where the bulk of our options are now, right? All of the trying questions like: figuring out what will look good, what the quality of the dress it will be, and does it really look like what you see in the picture can all be overwhelming.
I’ve got a treat for you today. Below, you’ll see different Amazon maternity dresses in use so you’ll get the full picture of what the dresses are really like and (spoiler alert!) they are good ones!

The tulle, nude robe. This one is in my Client Closet and is certainly a favorite! What to wear underneath: Nude bodysuit or nude bra and panties.

Flowy Maternity Gown. This dress comes in a multitude of colors and is so versatile! You can wear the shoulders up or choose to have them down. My client in the above photo added a simple belt, too.

The next gowns are all under $40.
Sheer, long gown. Whether you want to show your belly or not, this dress gives both options. We were able to do both, and with the closed belly, you would’ve thought it was a normal gown. It also has a long train, so you can achieve those toss worthy shots. Many color options available.
What to wear underneath: match your panties to the gown you selected; strapless bra.
Classic Fitted and Flowy Gown. This beauty is timeless and shows off the bump with elegance. What to wear underneath: strapless bra and nude panties.
The below gown is an honorable mention at $60!
The Flowy Mermaid Gown. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, and it would certainly compliment any expecting mama. Several color options available.
